This tavern is located on the former site of the St. Patrick's Inn, which burned down. Both Edgar Allan Poe and George Washington were said to have stayed at the inn and according to local legend, Poe cursed the place after slipping in the mud outside. Haunting reports here include unexplained sounds, and doors that open and close on their own.
