This stretch of road is said to be haunted by a ghostly dog with red, glowing eyes. Stories say an angry tenant murdered his landlord, ground up the body, and fed it to his dog. The ghostly dog has been spotted on the side of the road during the night.

We ended up getting off of route 12 early, because supposedly there was a lady in white ahead and a black dog (per our spirit friend who told us). We have since went back to check it out with friends. We just wanted to drive down it. Immediately after driving past the light we felt like we shouldn’t have. :’D My girlfriend heard chewing and chains from the dog and my best friend thought something was following us on that road and hiding in the fields. As soon as we got off that road, we felt relieved. What they say happens, does happen.
